CARE Nepal is a humanitarian and development organization that has been working in Nepal for several decades to fight poverty, reduce social inequality, and support vulnerable communities. It is part of the global network of CARE International and focuses especially on empowering women and girls, improving access to quality healthcare, strengthening food security, and building resilience against disasters and climate change. In Nepal, CARE implements a wide range of programs in rural and urban areas, working closely with local governments, community groups, and partner organizations to ensure long-term and sustainable impact. A major focus of CARE Nepal is gender equality, where it supports women’s leadership, economic empowerment, and protection from violence and discrimination. It also runs projects related to maternal and child health, nutrition, education, and emergency response during floods, earthquakes, and other crises. By combining community participation with evidence-based development approaches, CARE Nepal helps create stronger systems that allow people especially marginalized groups-to improve their living conditions and have greater control over their future.
