Karuna Foundation Nepal

Karuna Foundation Nepal is a Nepal-based non-profit organization that works to improve the quality of life of persons with disabilities and promote inclusive community development. It focuses on ensuring that people with disabilities have equal access to healthcare, education, rehabilitation services, and livelihood opportunities, while also working to reduce social stigma and discrimination. The foundation collaborates closely with local governments, community-based organizations, and health systems to strengthen early identification, treatment, and support services for disabilities, especially in rural and underserved areas. A key aspect of Karuna Foundation Nepal’s work is community-based rehabilitation (CBR), which helps integrate persons with disabilities into their communities rather than isolating them, enabling them to live independently and participate fully in society.
