We are part of the world\'s largest family that\'s creating opportunities for the poor to realise their potential. In 2015, Nepal took a devastating hit to its economy, affecting the lives of its people due to the earthquake that struck the Kavrepalanchowk district. BRAC had been one of the first global organisations to stand beside the people of Nepal in their time of distress. BRAC has now set up operations in the country with the main focus being on the rehabilitation of the earthquake victims. Funds that have been raised will be used to build 400 earthquake resilient houses over a period of one and half years. Following that, projects related to nutrition, health, microfinance, agriculture and livestock will be implemented to provide livelihood support.
