In July 1992 the Nepal Eye Program was officially launched to help the prevention and control of blindness in Nepal and the region. TIO is the Nepal Eye Program implementing agency, a community-based, not-for-profit organization. One of the active members of Apex Body for Eye Health, Ministry of Health ( MoH), with the goal of serving as a model for treatment, study and training
