Nepal Surshala Music Academy was established in 2004 A.D. Since its establishment it is dedicated to provide the musical excellence with practical and theoritical methods of learning vocal, dance, instruments, drama and art.It provides 390 hours short vocational courses of CTEVT in vocal.Prayag sangeet samiti has supported CTEVT to produce a music curriculam in vocal for short vocational courses. It seeks to bring out the best in its students. The academy is currently providing music lessons to more than 120 students from 15 different countries in singing, dancing and instrumentals. It is providing free music lessons to 25 poor students who are keen on learning music and talented enough to justify the cross subsidy provided by the academy. It also offers syllabus and examination from Royal Academy London. Surshala is supporting CTEVT to produce a music curriculum for vocational schools.
