Nepal Engineering College (NEC)

Nepal Engineering College was established in 1994 as a non-profit institution under the initiative of the private sector, popularly known as Nec. The foundation was laid by a few visionary Nepalese professionals and academics who realized the need for an institution that would serve the country’s technical education needs to accelerate economic growth, reach a wider section of Nepalese students , and make quality technical education accessible and affordable to the masses.In later years, this pioneering example set by Nec led to the creation of a number of engineering colleges in the private sector in the country. Nec is committed to upholding its long-established reputation as “an organization with reservations about quality and academic freedom” as another example to be pursued by others. Nec has been continuously involved in developing, updating and standardizing academic curricula and offering Bachelor and Masters courses in engineering , technology and related disciplines since its inception. Nec plans to continue this initiative by providing, in the coming days, more innovative and applied courses in developed and emerging areas.
