The College of Biomedical Engineering and Applied Sciences (CBEAS), located in Dhana Ganesh, Handigaun-Marg, Kathmandu (Kupondole, Lalitpur area), is a pioneering private engineering college in Nepal established in 2005 and affiliated with Purbanchal University. It is notable for being one of the first and few institutions in Asia, and the only college in Nepal, to offer a dedicated Bachelor of Engineering in Biomedical Engineering program, which blends engineering principles with medical and biological sciences to prepare students for designing and improving medical devices, diagnostic tools, and healthcare technologies. The college boasts well-equipped infrastructure, modern classrooms, and laboratories, and it holds recognition from the Nepal Engineering Council along with Quality Assurance & Accreditation (QAA) certification from the University Grants Commission, underscoring its academic standards.
