Welcome to Uttarpani Technical School

Uttarpani Technical School (UTS) was founded in 1980 as a rural technical school under the supervision of the Technical Education Directorate of the National Education Committee. It is located in Uttarpani, in the district of Dhankuta, Nepal.It is a member of the Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training and offers a variety of technical training courses, such as Diploma in Agriculture (Plant Science), Diploma in Agriculture (Veterinary Science), JTA-Plant Science and Veterinary JTA. The physical infrastructure of the school has been developed through the cooperation of the Government of Nepal and the Overseas Development Agency (ODA). UTS started the 7 + 3 TSLC program at the beginning and then changed the 7 + 3 TSLC program to the 10 + 2 TSLC program in 1992. Now TSLC training in Livestock and Agriculture has also started on a private basis for 15 months.  VISION: Uttarpani Technical School will be an excellent agricultural training center for the production of low-and middle-level workers in Nepal. MISSION: Uttarpani Technical School will produce basic and middle-level workforce through quality & demand driven training to school dropouts and SLC/TSLC graduates. GOALS: To ensure quality training and to promote entrepreneurship and self-employment opportunities, to maintain qualified staff, to ensure maximum participation of the target population, to increase income-generating sustainability activities, to ensure the involvement of line agencies in technical education and to maintain school facilities.
