National Medical College, located in Birgunj, Nepal district of Parsa, was established in the year 2001. The "National Medical College Company Pvt" supports it. Ltd., headed by Prof. Dr. Jainuddin Ansari, an excellent surgeon who has won national and international recognition for medico-social services promotion.It is affiliated with the University of Tribhuvan (TU) and with the Technical Education and Vocational Training Council (CTEVT). This is approved by the Council of Nepal Nursing, the Professional Health Council of Nepal and the Nepal Medical Council. The Birgunj National Medical College is one of Nepal's leading medical colleges, in reality the number one among all medical colleges in terms of infrastructure, teaching methodologies, academic facilities and modern sophisticated medical equipment. Location: National Medical College is located along the Indo-Nepal border in the South-Eastern Sub-Metropolitan City of Birgunj, Nepal 's commercial capital. The college campus is just 3 kms away from Raxaul 's Indian border town (in Bihar State), which is well connected by road and railway to most major cities and towns of India.Birgunj has strong road connections with most of Nepal's cities and towns. It is only a flight of 15 minutes to Kathmandu, the national capital.
