Nagarkot is one of the nearest and most famous hills in Kathmandu. It is a village located about 26.6 km east of Kathmandu Valley. It is at an elevation of close to 2,175 m above sea level. As one of the most scenic spots in the region, Nagarkot is famous for its sunrise views of the Himalayas. You can observe Mt. Everest with its snow-topped peaks and an overlook tower at the top of the village’s hills. Eight out of the 13 Himalayan ranges of mountains in Nepal, such as Annapurna, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Langtang, Jugal, Rolwaling, Mahalangur (Everest), and Numbur, can be seen from here. You will also have panoramic views of the Kathmandu Valley and Shivapuri National Park.
