MB Kedia Dental College and Teaching Hospital was founded in 2006 AD, which is located in Birgunj, Parsa and is the nationwide pioneer of dental school. It is affiliated with the University of Tribhuvan (TU), and is accredited by the National Medical Council (NMC). This offers BDS programs for five and a half years, including one-year internship.The national statistical data indicate that the dental surgeons are very poor in availability as per their demand.Thus, in order to fulfill this deficit, the founder is inspired to come up with the concept of establishing Mahabir Prasad Brij Lal Kedia Dental College in Birgunj to fulfill the void of not having any specialized Dental Care Hospital within a radius of 200 kilometers and, ultimately, of the entire Nepal terai region.The college is well known as an institution for dental education both in Nepal and abroad. The college also puts its effort toward national and international grounds to ensure a high degree of quality and to maintain standard. It is one of the most prominent dental education centers in the Terai region, and ultimately in Nepal.
