The Mahakavi Devkota Campus (MDC), located in Sunwal, Nawalparasi district of Nepal, was established in 2003 (2060 BS). It is a community college for non-profit making, and has become a leading college in this field. Since there is not even a single Tribhuvan University constituent college in this district. It has supported area students with high-quality higher education at affordable rates.A major portion of its student population comprises socially deprived and oppressed groups such as Dalit, Madhesi, Tharu, Muslim etc.
Mahakavi Devkota Campus has paid specific attention to high-quality higher education. Thus, the University Grant Commission (UGC), Nepal, has invested in the QAA (Quality Assurance & Accreditation) Scheme.
