Jimbu Thakali is a popular Himalayan herb called jimbu, named after the Thakali Restaurant. Because of its enticing taste and different portions given as a dinner, Thakali Khana Set (dinner) is widely celebrated in Nepal. Ever since he started working in hospitality, Owner Vivek Sherchan 's family whose root is Thak-Khola Village of Mustang District had an impulse to introduce Thakali Khana to Nepalese and Tourist. When the owner decided to abandon his lucrative career in hospitality in the USA, Jimbu Thakali was born and decided to run the family-run Thakali Restaurant & American Diner to draw locals and foreigners. The owner 's mother, Prabha Sherchan, pays close attention to every detail served in a dish & ingredient used in Jimbu's Thakali preparation.
