The Dhankuta Institute of Health Sciences was founded in 1998 (2055 BS) and is located in Bich Bazar-6, Dhankuta district of Nepal. It is affiliated with the Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT). This is accredited by the Nepal Nursing Council (NNC) and the Nepal Health Professional Council.It offers technical education in junior nurse midwife (ANM), PCL in General Medicine-Health Assistant (HA) and TSLC in Community Medicine Assistant-CMA. It has promoted well-equipped science labs and a friendly atmosphere with all kinds of physical facilities. The Dhankuta Institute of Health Sciences is located in Dhankuta, Dhankuta City Hall No.-6. Purposes & Objectives:

• To inspire students to foster the spirit of health sciences.
• To provide a cost-effective training curriculum for health workers.
• To Adequate Health Assistant (HA), Community Medicine Assistant (CMA) and Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery (ANM) required to provide basic primary health services through hospital, PHCC, HP and SHP, as well as NGOs and INGO.
• Provide opportunities for self-employed employees by skills-based training.
• Raising awareness builds the capacity of paramedics to assess the health situation in the community and to take steps to enhance community wellbeing.
• To connect education to successful employment.
• Strengthen the country's education , particularly in nursing.
