Drishti Eye Care System was initiated and established by a group of experienced, enthusiastic, dedicated and devoted ophthalmic human resources with a mission to provide the most advanced, sophisticated and comprehensive super specialty eye care services to the needy at an affordable price in different parts of Nepal. We also aim to “reach the unreached” through various eye camps and free school screening programs in coordination with the government, non-government and private organizations. The aim of such free eye camps is to attain the goal of “Vision 2020” that is to reduce the burden of avoidable blindness by the year 2020. The first eye hospital under the Drishti Eye Care System was established in October 2013 in Birtamode district of Jhapa as the Mechi Drishti Eye Hospital with the slogan ”Drishti for All, Drishti Forever” which means Vision for everyone and Vision till the end of life. In a relatively short span of time, Drishti Eye Care System has been able to win hearts of many patients not only of Nepal but also of the neighboring countries such as India, Bhutan and Bangladesh. Within just a period of 3 years from its inception, we have been able to extend our services through three tertiary eye hospitals, two primary eye care centers and two sophisticated eye clinics and opticals. We have been able to provide superspeciality services in cornea, retina, glaucoma, uveitis, neuroophthalmology, pediatrics and oculoplasty. Some advanced and latest eye surgeries like Descement Membrance Endothelial Keratoplasty, Toric Intraocular lens insertion, Scleral fixation Intraocular lens insertion, Intravitreal AntiVEGF and Intravitreal Steroid Implant are performed at our eye centers.
