Central Engineering College was founded in 1992 AD as a privately owned engineering institution located in Ramanand Chowk, Janakpur, Nepal's Dhanusa district. It is affiliated with the University of Purbanchal and with the Technical Education and Vocational Training Council (CTEVT). Nepal Engineering Council acknowledges it, too. Central Engineering College offers a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering associated with Purbanchal University (P.U.) and a Certificate in Civil Engineering, a Certificate in Electrical Engineering, a CTEVT-related Electrical Sub Overseer & Survey Engineering. It also offers associated management programmes, such as Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and Master of Business Administration(MBA) at Pubbanchal University
