Tejendra BK, the chairman of Gyanodaya Secondary School in Nepalgunj, said that as course of studies in Grade 11 and 12 are same and qualification of teachers in any plus two colleges is similar, there is no difference in joining any college after SLC.

“Earlier, parents thought that their children would outperform if they get enrolled in reputed colleges and big cities. But lately, many parents have realized that student’s achievement depend upon how they study and not where they study. This is why the trend of leaving the district for plus two education is gradually decreasing.

He said the number of students in plus two colleges in the districts has been increasing lately. That is why the administration of Gyanodaya has decided to run classes under Science Stream from this academic session.
