Pokhara Airport is situated at Pokhara Metropolitan Municipality of Kaski District, Gandaki Province. Pokhara Airport is located at Pokhara, the most popular tourist destination of the Country and situated 200 Km far west from capital city, Kathmandu. This airport serves as main gateway for the pilgrims and the tourists to travel the famous religious place, Muktinath, Jomsom and Annapurna Round Trek as well. The Pokhara valley itself offers picturesque looks of Machhapuchhre, Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Mountain, beautiful lakes like Phewa, Rupa and Begnas and deep gorges, falls and caves.   It is the second busiest airport after Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA). The scheduled and chartered flights to Jomsom, Bhairahawa,Bharatpur and Manang airport and vicinity areas are being operated by ultraflights for recreational and sight-seeing and helicopter for commercial charted and rescue purpose flights. The airport is located at the close proximity to the Pokhara city.
