Central Technological Campus is the best college for Technical education in Dharan, Sunsari. Central Campus of Technology. established in 1972 AD in Dharan, is a constituent unitary and autonomous Science and Technology campus of Tribhuvan University. This campus offers the courses of B.Tch (Food), B.Sc. and M.Sc. (Microbiology), and B.Sc. (Nutrition and Dietetics). B.Sc. (Physics), and B.Sc. (Geology). This is the forerunner campus of Food Technology education in Nepal. Central Department of Food Technology under the Institute of Science and Technology, Tribhuvan University, is situated in the campus premises, which offers M.Tech and PhD studies in Food Technology. Central Technological Campus provides the best quality education in Province no 1, Nepal.

The campus is situated at an isolated and quiet hillock called Hattisar (altitude of 428 meters and average temperature of 310 °C) in the lap of the spectacular Bijaypur hill in the northeast of Dharan, a magnificent and well-off town in eastern Nepal. The campus is spread over 14.2 hectares of land. The uniqueness of this campus is that this is the only T.U. constituent campus running B.Tech (Food) and the only campus in Nepal with the B.Sc. (Nutrition and Dietetics) program. It obtained the status of a decentralized campus in 1998 AD and an autonomous campus in 2012 AD.
