Created in 2001, the Kathmandu University School of Medical Science (KUSMS) has initiated its own constituent MBBS program. The school has infrastructure and physical facilities at two locations: Chaukot Hilltop Basic Science Building, Panauti Municipality-1 and Dhulikhel Main Teaching Hospital. The Kathmandu University Complex has close access to both sites.The Department of Basic Sciences has 7 separate departments with the necessary number of labs, lecture halls (including PBL class rooms), audio visual equipment (media tech), and a 24-hour internet library.
