Welcome to Jiri Technical School

In 1982, as a joint project between the Government of Nepal and the Government of Switzerland, Jiri Technical School (JTS) was established. The key goal of the JTS is to improve the living standards of rural communities by imparting adequate and qualitative skills for immediate implementation and (self-) jobs in health, building and agricultural trade. It is affiliated with the Council for Professional Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) and provides numerous programs in health and technical training, such as Auxiliary Nurse Midwife (ANM), Diploma in Agriculture (Plant Science), Diploma in Agriculture (Veterinary Science), JTA Animal Science, JTA-Plant Science, TSLC in Civil Engineering (Civil Sub-Supervisor), and JTA Veterinary. Jiri Technical School (JTS) is situated in a lovely valley with a safe climate in Jiri, Dolakha, 200 KM east of Kathmandu. This good spot has no pollution. It is a tourist destination; this destination is also called Switzerland of Nepal. Vision: JTS will be the groundbreaking technical school in the Mid-Development Area of Nepal for short and long-term study. Mission: By providing Nepalese citizens with vocational and technical education through quality and demand-driven training, JTS will produce a skilled workforce. Aim/ Goal:

• To create technical manpower at the junior level in the fields of agriculture, health and construction.
• Develop and introduce numerous short courses relevant to the three trades that lead to revenue generation and community building programs, guided by different criteria.
• To retain a good working atmosphere through economic growth, networking, and marketing efforts for the local communities / organization.
