Founded in 2075 BS (2018 AD), Gorkha Polytechnic College and Research Center (GPCRC) is located in Kohalpur, Banke. GPCRC is affiliated with the University of Agriculture and Forestry (AFU), Rampur, Chitawan with the objective of developing qualified skilled human capital in the field of agriculture.Since 2018 AD, GPCRC works under the management team of Gorkha United Public School (GUPS) with the joint effort of a former and presently serving British Gurkhas and Singapore Police. The Gorkha Polytechnic College and Research Center has a green environment, an academic setting, a highly committed and experienced staff, visiting professors, a well-equipped laboratory, a resourceful library, audio / visual classes, a 5-hectare estate, playgrounds, transport facilities,Cafeteria, hostel and other amenities are the outstanding features of this institution, making it the students' first choice. GPCRC provides the academy with highly qualified professionals and valuable support in planning and coordinating activities from the Noble Science Expo to begin and internalize the Co-Curricular Activities and other significant responsibilities.Given all the challenges, school management aims to build a concrete forum for developing joint venture projects and seeking practical solutions to today's and tomorrow 's problems. It was a vision of GPCRC not only to develop itself as a center of academic excellence in the field of Agriculture providing quality education, but also to expand it as a Research Center for Agriculture and to help the citizens of this community providing a different kind of technical support to bring about the changes in our traditional agriculture, incorporating new modern and creative technology. Following collaboration with the IRRI project for Nepal, GPCRC conducts research on the creation of partnerships and linkages for student access with national / international educational / research / development institutions.
